OUR CLUB
The Essington Cannons Basketball Club (Cannons) is an incorporated association. The Constitution for the Cannons was declared on 13 November 2018 after the Club was gifted by the Essington International School Darwin to the Darwin basketball community. 'Essington' remains the Founding name of the Club.
The Cannons are not-for-profit and managed by a Committee in accordance with the Constitution and Powers of Association. Members who play for the Cannons are represented by the Darwin community.​
Any player from any Darwin school and any adult from the Darwin region is welcome.
MISSION
To provide and promote a fun, safe, capable and competitive team orientated basketball Club for juniors and adults.
To develop skills and pathways for juniors and adults in the Club and retain and increase participation.
To encourage the Club’s values and maintain a strong Club culture to be proud of.
VISION
The Essington Cannons Basketball Club aspires to be a successful basketball Club which provides a high-quality experience for all players.
